Highways Forecasting and Analytical Services provides specialist transport shared services to the ten Greater Manchester local authorities, other Transport for Greater Manchester departments, the Highways Agency, and various other public and private sector clients.

We undertake work in three main ways:

• strategic work in support of Transport for Greater Manchester and the local authorities as a whole
• local work commissioned within Transport for Greater Manchester and by individual authorities
• commissioned work from other public or private sector bodies

We deliver, large and small scale surveys and studies, Local Transport Plan (LTP) Performance Indicators, Traffic Impact assessments, Micro-simulation modelling, strategic transport modelling, emissions inventory and air quality forecasting, plus support local authority Smarter Choices initiatives.

We operate as a one stop shop for commissioning surveys, specialist transport related software design, modelling and appraisal, analysis and a wide range of monitoring programs.
